To plan and carry out sales activities, to maintain and develop sales of IPL group’s product range to current and potential customers within the South East of Ireland.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by phone, in writing and/or personal visits
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
  • Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory according to an agreed market development strategy
  • Manage product/service mix, pricing, and margins according to terms agreed with management
  • Integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advising and exhibitions
  • Issue relevant sales paperwork to facilitate order processing
  • Liaise with in-house sales support team and with other departments as necessary, to perform duties and aid business and organisational development
  • Monitor and report on sales activities and provide relevant information to management
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
  • Attend and contribute to company sales meetings to aid business development
  • Utilise and maintain CRM data
  • Any other reasonable duty as requested by management
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Full driving license is required along with 3yrs+ proven experience in sales. A third level mechanical/electrical engineering qualification or equivalent is desirable.

  • IPL group are currently recruiting for an office-based technical salesperson to expand our Process Instrumentation Team.

    As a member of the sales team, the main responsibilities and duties of this role are to:
  • Provide technical information, recommendations and support to our customers for instrumentation products at all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Offer technical support to our dedicated external sales team
  • Liaise with our technical services personnel
  • Receive and process sales orders for products, liaising with warehouse supervisor and on-site engineers around stock availability for ordered items
  • Research and stay up-to-date with new products and innovations in the marketplace
  • Cultivate relationships with existing customers and suppliers to promote business and sales
  • The ideal candidate will have:
  • a qualification in Electronic, Mechatronic or Electrical engineering
  • strong teamwork skills
  • a keen eye for detail
  • a good level of computer literacy, M/S packages and sales software packages
  • excellent verbal and written English
  • Previous experience in this field is not a requirement but is preferential. IPL group will provide all the necessary product training to help you perform and grow in your role.
